Home Insurance Claims

At Discount Insurance we understand how important it is for you to get any claims on your home insurance policy sorted as quickly and efficiently as possible. We will try our best to support you through the process so that your claim can be resolved with the minimum of hassle.

To ensure that your enquiry is dealt with by the correct person and as quickly as possible, please note the details below:

Please call us on 0208 847 8007 and a dedicated claims handler will help you with your query and lead you through the claims process. It would be useful for you to read through your policy documents again, before you speak to a claims adviser, to make sure that you are covered for the type of claim you need to make.

In order to get matters dealt with as quickly and efficiently as possible you will be asked to provide the following information:

  • Policy Reference number from your certificate
  • Information and some fine points of the insured property
  • Claim information/description
  • Date of loss
  • Approximate cost to repair/replace damaged items involved.

Please note that you must submit your claim as soon as possible, but in any event within 30 days from the date of the incident of the claimed peril. Discount Insurance must be informed of all incidents, which might occur, that relate to the buildings or contents and have a bearing on the insurance cover provided.
