The recent ruling from the Employment Appeal Tribunal (EAT) which means overtime should be taken into account when calculating holiday pay “must be challenged,” according to business chiefs.  

The Confederation of British Industry described the ruling as a “real blow” and is concerned that the ruling could lead to significant financial pressure and possible collapse for many businesses....

British workers are not taking all their holiday entitlement giving employers more than £18 billion worth of work for free, according to new findings. 

Only 77% of people take all of the annual leave to which they are entitled to, according the UK Annual Leave Survey of more than 2,000 staff by workplace review website Glassdoor....

After nearly six years of falling real wages, rise in weekly earnings have finally caught up with inflation.

Weekly wages, including bonuses, rose by 1.7% in the year to February, up from 1.4% in January, according to the Office for National Statistics (ONS).

Consumer Price Index (CPI) inflation stood at 1.7% in February and fell to 1.6% in March....
