The average British tourist runs out of spending money just half way through their holiday with many of them going into debt to carry on enjoying themselves.

Some three in ten Brits will have already blown their budget by five days into a two-week break - despite taking an average £600 with them – according to a new survey of 2,000 holidaymakers....

One in 10 Brits has bought a house as a renovation project, according to a new study.

The research, carried out by Ocean Finance, also revealed that the average profit people made, or expect to make, is between £20,000 and £30,000

However, some home renovators were expecting much more with eight per cent of respondents claiming they had pocketed more than £100,000, or had high hopes of doing so....

Women miss an English cup of tea, men can’t live without their electronic gadgets, but sleeping in our own bed tops the list of things from home we miss when we go away on holiday.  

According to a new report, we also miss our pets, family and friends, whilst speedy internet connection also featured as the fourth most missed home comfort among the men surveyed. ...

Outrageous orders and crazy complaints are stretching the patience of even the best-trained hotel staff, according to new research from flight comparison website Skyscanner.

A world of grumbling guests, for whom no tantrum is too absurd, were revealed by the survey which questioned 400 hotel staff in 49 countries....

One in five Brits would keep a lost item they found whilst on holiday, according to a new survey.

Those choosing not to hand in the item, said that they would either use it, sell it, throw it away or give it to a family member as gift. 

The new research found that a third of people who found a lost item would not return the item if it was of value (rather than of sentiment). The most popular item to use if found was an iPad or other tablet devices with 29%....
