Van Gogh

If you’re an art lover, you can now have the chance to step into one of Vincent Van Gogh’s most famous paintings, after an Airbnb room was created to look like it.

The bedroom has been designed to recreate the masterpiece Bedroom in Arles and was created ahead of the launch of the Art Institute of Chicago’s Van Gogh’s Bedrooms exhibition.

The small room located in the River North area of Chicago, contains a double bed, two chairs, a bedside table and comes with Wi-Fi. You can rent the room for just £7 ($10) a night.

The listing, advertised by ‘Vincent’, reads: “This room will make you feel like you're living in a painting

“It's decorated in a Post-Impressionist style, reminiscent of Southern France and times gone by.

“Its furniture, bright colours and artwork will give you the experience of a lifetime.”

One visitor named Heidi said she “thoroughly enjoyed” her stay in the room, adding “the hand-written note and flowers were a very nice touch.”

Another reviewer, Brian, said he felt like he “stepped into the painting”.

He added: “Waking up this morning in the midst of it was such a delight. This painting is my favorite painting, so I'll cherish my stay here for the rest of my life.”
