Despite the overall rate of burglary claims dropping eight per cent last year, busy urban areas remain the biggest targets for theft, according to the latest data from MoneySuperMarket.

 

The company identified the postcodes with the highest and lowest rate of claims for home contents theft with a five year period by analysing 1.8 million home insurance quotes run on its website over the last two years....

House price growth seen in the top UK commuter hotspots could pay for a rail season ticket in as little as eight days, according to new research.

 

In Esher in Surrey property values rose by an average of 9.25% last year, the equivalent of £256.66 per day. In just over eight days, this would cover the cost of an annual season ticket into London worth £2,080....
