Burnley has been named the most affordable place to purchase a property for first-time buyers, boasting average house prices of under £85k.

 

Despite the fact that, since the start of the millennium, average house prices have increased by 181% and the number of first time buyers had decreased by 27%, the Pendle area remains one the most affordable regions regarding cost and a good ratio versus expected earnings in the area....

According to a recent YouGov report, millennials form one of the largest generations to date. Born between 1980 and 1999, they constitute one in four people globally and 16 million citizens in the UK.

 

They demand individualism and adventure. Around 26% will take three holidays in 12 months, with 62% booking via websites such as Airbnb rather than normal tour operators. Millennials seek independence, require unique experiences and do not want to separate from technology....

Uber had come together with Build To Rent developer in order to complete a PropTech deal, which sees the transport company giant involved in the property sector for the first time.

 

Tenants at schemes operated by the Build To Rent company ‘Moda Living’ will receive up to a total of £100 in Uber credits per month. This is only available should tenants agree not to have a car parking space in their building. In return, using a bespoke app, residents will be able to hire an Uber as and when they please....

There has been a noticeable slowdown in house price growth this year, according to the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), with figures on course to end 2016 at about 6.5% overall. 

A ‘chronic shortage’ of supply will see transactions drop to around 1.15 million in 2017 from around 1.25 million in 2016, according to forecasts....
